VS. Shane Nelson
In his signature agressive style, Wiman showed up in Memphis, Tennessee ready to fight. Towards the end of round one, after being rocked by a straight-right, right uppercut combo, Nelson found himself on his back which was quickly followed by a crushing elbow from Wiman that opened him up.
Rounds 2 and 3 were filled with exchanges and Nelson constantly being pressed by Wiman looking for inflict more damage. All three rounds were characterized by Wiman decisively controlling both the standup and ground games.
The official scores were 30-27 on all three cards for Matt Wiman, who takes the unanimous decision.
